Necessary HTML Document Tags

Every HTML Document should have the following tags:

<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
<title> title text </title>
</head>
<body {font-size: 16px; background="graphic_file_URL" bgcolor="literal|#RGB" text="literal|#RGB" link="literal|#RGB" alink="literal|#RGB" vlink="literal|#RGB"}>
HTML tags and page text
</body>
</html>

The <!DOCTYPE ... declaration has been greatly simplified in HTML5.

The text between the <title> and </title> tags will appear at the top of the browser's window just as An HTML Tutorial appears at the top of this page.

The main information on the page appears between the <body> and </body> tags. The <body> tag has five optional attributes; however, the preferred way to change body attributes is through a Cascading Style Sheet.
